Who we are
ZaraiOS is a farm record app for farmers in Pakistan. Contact: hello@zaraios.com.
What we collect
Your account
- Your mobile number and password (used to log in; the password is stored only in scrambled form).
- Your name, province, district, tehsil and village.
- Your email address, only if you choose to add one.
What you record
- Fields (name, area, water source, own land, theka or batai) and crops (crop, variety, steps).
- Costs, sales, money owed by you or to you, and dealers or arhtis you name.
- Labourers you add (name, phone if you enter it, wages, attendance and payments).
- Reminders, and photos and voice notes you attach.
Phone permissions
- Microphone: only while you record a voice note.
- Camera and photos: only when you add a photo.
- Notifications: to show your reminders.
We do not collect your location (GPS), your contacts, or an advertising ID. The app has no ads.
Why we use it
- To run the app: save your records, keep them safe on our server, and show them on another phone when you log in there.
- To send you a code by email if you forget your password (only if you added an email).
- To show area figures such as usual labour rates: records from many farmers may be combined without names or numbers. You agree to this when you start using the app.
- To fix problems and improve the app.
We never sell your data. We do not share your records with buyers, lenders, companies or the government unless you ask us to, or the law requires it.
Who handles it for us
Only these service providers, which store or move data for us and may not use it for anything else:
- Supabase: database, login and file storage. Servers in Mumbai, India.
- PowerSync: keeps your phone and the server in step. Servers in India.
- Resend: sends password-reset emails, only if you added an email.
Each farmer's records are locked to their own login on the server: other farmers cannot see them.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your records while you have an account. When you delete a single record in the app, it disappears from your lists and totals; a hidden copy stays with your account so mistakes can be traced.
When you delete your account (in the app: More → Settings → Delete all my data, or through this page), your login, records, photos and voice notes are removed from our server and that phone. Copies in server backups are gone within 30 days.
Security
Data travels between your phone and our server encrypted (HTTPS) and is stored encrypted on the server. Your records also stay on your phone, so keep your phone locked.
Children
ZaraiOS is made for farmers and is not meant for children under 13.
Changes
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and ask you again in the app when the change matters.
